Conquer Your Fear Share Your Faith Book Review

Print
Conquer Your Fear, Share Your Faith by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort is a practical approach to evangelism that directs people to the Ten Commandments and thus presents their need for a Savior.
Most of this world knows that Jesus gave His life on the cross as a sacrifice, but they don’t understand why. It was a legal transaction. We have violated God’s Law through lying, stealing, blasphemy, lust, adultery, hatred, fornication, selfishness, and so forth. That Law shows that we are guilty criminals that must stand before the Judge of the Universe. We are heading for God’s prison – a terrible place called hell. Yet the gospel tells us that Jesus paid our fine through His sacrifice on the cross. That means that because of the suffering death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, God can legally dismiss our case. He can commute our death sentence and allow us to live upon our repentance and faith in Jesus, because our “fine” was paid 2,000 years ago. This is how the Bible puts it: “But God shows and clearly proves His (own) love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us” (Rom. 5:8, AMP).  (page 161)
I remember reading Not God’s Type by Holly Ordway a couple months back and thinking that Ordway's friend was an amazing example of living Jesus in front of someone else and sharing his faith in a more laid-back manner; I wanted to be like him. Then I read Conquer Your Fear Share Your Faith and was reminded that there is more then one way to witness and it is also good to boldly proclaim the gospel and not miss opportunities.
He who wins souls is wise. - Proverbs 11:30b
I would recommend this book to anyone who follows Jesus. It will inspire you and show you a new (to me at least) way of making the gospel clear to others.

This book was sent to me by Pure Publicity and in exchange I am posting this review. I am not required to give a positive review.

Sounds like a great book. We saw a video at church with them, I think it was Way of The Master. It was really powerful.
