I have 2 daughters. One is our biological 11 year old and the other moved in with us shortly after the Earthquake in Haiti. She is 12. We have made many adjustements with the newest addition and I have found it is difficult to begin instilling our family values into a child who is already a tween with a completely different background. I WANT THIS BOOK. I think it would help me tremendously I reach out to both of our tween girls.
Now, I did some of the extra stuff for more entires. Do I really comment seperately for each of them? Or am I misunderstanding that instruction? Thanks!
I think quality time with our girls is sooo important. I love the idea of this book and would love to try some new stuff for bonding. It's hard to make one on one time with each child and this book would help make sure that happens. The fact that you like it Amy makes me want to try it out. Love ya, Jess Grote
I blogged about it over on my blog.

Whew. I'm done.
I'm not sure if I am doing the right as I have never blogged and I don't Twitter. I do, however, have a Fb and will do what is ask for FB. That being said, I have a 13 yr old daughter that I have homeschooled in the past. This past year, she really wanted to try a PS so I put her in a private school, thinking that would be the best of both worlds. I was wrong :( Since she has been in the private school, she has become withdrawn from the family and treats us all like we are in her way and that she is doing us a favor by being in this house. My heart is so sad because we use to have such a great relationship. I will let her finish out this year and next year she will be coming back to home schooling. I'm thinking this book may help us get our "relationship" back because at this point, it's hard to go on a mom/daughter date with her. She is judgemental of everything I say and do and it makes it hard being around her. I would like to do some fun things again and bring her "back" to our family life. Thanks so much! God Bless :)
I haven't heard of this book and hopped over to your blog via Hip Homeschool Moms. But, I'm mama to three precocious little girls (ages 6, 4, and 2) and getting a jump start on bonding, forming relationships and tying heart strings would be so appreciated. This book seems like it could be written for me! So I'd love to win a copy! :)

Would love to have these great ideas to share with my daughter. We are the only females in the house and need our special times together.

This would be a great book for my 9 year old daughter and I to work through. She is getting older and discussions and dates are going to be very important to discuss important topics.

Why I'd love a copy of the book:
I'm really needing to concentrate on my relationship oldest daughter, she's 8. I see her acting out lately because she needs me. She has two older brothers who usually get most of the attention because they're louder, ahead of her in school, etc. She needs to know what it means to be a lady and why it is valuable.
These are things that I can obviously teach her with or without a book, but I'd LOVE to have some practical ideas!
