Tag! I'm It!

Well, sort of!

Kris over at Eclipsed posted this and I decided to play!  Yes, I love this silly kind of thing, but I promise to make the random stuff about me painless and the questions you get to answer, very cool!

Here are the rules:

11 Random Things About Me
1. I miss Pumpkin Spiced Lattes.
2. I cannot wait for The Hunger Games movie to come out.
3. I love going to coffee shops with bookstores attached!
4. I enjoy Pinterest, but am not addicted to it.
5. I cannot wait to eat regular Cheerios.
6. Discipleship and women's ministry are what I enjoy the most in ministry.
7. Watching my kids grow and learn is a joy. I love watching for the "..way they will go."
8. Organizing is fun! Cleaning and cooking are work!
9. I don't wear make up very often because it is too hot here.
10. I enjoy reading People, Shape, Good Housekeeping and a variety of other magazines. Because of where I live and the fact that I only get magazines periodically, I read the entire thing including the ads.
11. I took my youngest brother to see M.C. Hammer in concert. He was 2 Ligit 2 quit!

Kris wants to know:
1. What’s one thing you’ve accomplished in your life that you never thought you could?
I am not sure that I thought I could not accomplish this, but the adoption of our son took a lot of hard work and time. Does that count?
2. Do you have a mantra that keeps you going when you’d like to quit?
"Be Still and Know that I Am God!"  I have a bracelet with this verse to remind me to rest in God alone!
3. What is one piece of advice you’d like to pass along to someone who is trying to lose weight, but doesn’t think they can do it?
Join My Fitness Pal.  It reminds you how much you should be eating, to drink your water and exercise.
4. I’m trying to complete one random act of kindness each day and haven’t been succeeding very well lately. Give me a suggestion of an act of kindness that you would like to do for someone else or would love for someone to do for you.
Support a missionary ;)! Actually if you are looking for ideas, there are always medical needs here in Bolivia that you could help with. We have a couple doctors here that are helping the poor in amazing ways!
5. What’s the best book you’ve read lately?

6. What’s your favorite healthy meal/recipe?
Green smoothies or salads!
7. What’s your favorite date night activity with your spouse or significant other?
Dinner out and a movie
8. Is there a food that you eat the cashiers at the grocery store ask you about? (My personal examples are jicama and spaghetti squash.)
Yucca (When I am in the US, here everyone eats it!)
9. What’s your favorite game show?
I can't remember!
10. If money were no object, where would you like to travel?
Italy and Spain
11. If you have or are making changes toward a healthier lifestyle, what was the tipping point that finally made you decide to do so?
I did not want to still be carrying the extra baby weight when I turned 40!

Better late than never, right? It's been a busy couple of weeks around hear.

I, too, cannot wait for The Hunger Games movie to come out! It looks like it's going to be great.

So, a yucca is a root vegetable, right? I'll have to look it up and see how it's prepared. Any tips? What does it taste like?
